Carpentry for the homes people actually live in.

Oakridge Builds is a residential joinery and interior construction practice led by Suraj Singh. The work is focused, deliberately limited in scope, and built around the rooms and routines of British homeowners.
Every project — whether it is a single alcove cabinet or a full media wall — is reviewed against the property, the way the space is used and the standard of finish the homeowner is expecting. The result is interior carpentry that fits the home, rather than something dropped in from a catalogue.
Suraj works directly with each client throughout: the planning, the build and the final review. There is no call-centre, no upsell pressure and no template approach. If a project is not the right fit, we will say so before any quotation is issued.
Five things we care about, on every project.
Residential focus
We work exclusively in residential properties — houses, flats and family homes. The brief, the materials and the finish are all shaped around domestic use.
Attention to detail
Reveals, scribes, shadow gaps and the small joinery details that decide whether a finished piece reads as built-in or bolted on.
Property improvement
Joinery should genuinely improve the property — practically, visually and (where relevant) in terms of value.
Joinery craftsmanship
Considered material selection, clean machining and a proper finish — built to last, not built to look right on day one only.
Customer communication
You speak directly with Suraj from first enquiry to final review. Updates are clear, timelines are honest, and questions are answered properly.
